The Sigma 12mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary is a compact ultra‑wide prime designed for APS‑C Sony E cameras, offering an 18 mm equivalent field of view with outstanding low‑light and night‑sky capability. With a bright f/1.4 aperture, it excels in creative handheld shooting or astrophotography. Built from 14 elements in 12 groups, it includes three double‑sided aspherical elements and SLD glass to minimise aberrations, plus weather sealing and a de‑clickable aperture ring for smooth video control.
