Canon EOS R6

Canon EOS R6

The Canon EOS R6 mirrorless hybrid camera features a full-frame 20-megapixel sensor. It records in 4K up to 60fps and has an RF lens mount, which allows for using all of the latest state-of-the-art Canon RF lenses. And, if you use an adaptor, you can use all your existing EF lenses too—although the autofocus won’t be quite as responsive as with native RF lenses.

Fujifilm X-T4

Fujifilm X-T4

Pleasant skin tone rendering is one of the hallmarks of Fujifilm cameras, as well as the famous Fujifilm film simulations for stills. This mirrorless camera gives you the ability to record footage in LOG. Overall, the Fujifilm X-T4 has amazing build quality, beautiful design, and great features in a compact package—a great little setup for both video and stills.

Nikon Z6

Nikon Z6 and Z6 II

Both the Nikon Z6 and the Nikon Z6 II feature a full-frame 24.5-megapixel sensor offering great low-light capabilities. While the Nikon Z6 is able to shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second, the Nikon Z6 II shoots 60 frames per second and outputs a clean 4K 10-bit signal via HDMI for recording in the best quality on an external recorder. Depending on your budget, these two Nikon mirrorless cameras are a great choice if you want to use your existing Nikon F-mount lenses with an adaptor.

Blackmagic Design Pocket 6K

Blackmagic Design Pocket 6K and 6K Pro (Canon EF fit)

Moving on to dedicated video bodies, the Pocket Cinema Camera 6k EF and the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro EFare synonymous with amazing image quality, great colour rendition and fantastic features in a compact carry-anywhere package. A Super 35 size sensor with dual native ISO, the addition of the Canon EF mount gives the flexibility of using your existing Canon EF lenses. With internal RAW and ProRes recording, the Pro version adds many improvements like a bigger battery and built-in ND filters.

Red Scarlet X

RED Scarlet-X

The Red Scarlet-X is an affordable RED camera in a much smaller package. Despite being released in 2011, it’s still an amazing cinema camera. Record in 4K up to 30 frames per second or in 2K up to 60 frames per second, all in the industry-leading Redcode RAW codec and RED colour science.

Canon EOS C200

Canon EOS C200

The Canon Cinema EOS C200 EF was the first mid-range Canon EOS cinema camera to feature Canon’s Cinema RAW Light codec. Superior 4K image quality with famous Canon colours and Dual Pixel autofocus at a reasonable price. All you need is to attach an EF lens and it’s ready to go.
