The HELIAR 40mm F2.8 Aspherical VM / L is a compact quasi-wide-angle lens with a lens configuration of 5 elements in 3 groups based on the Voigtlander traditional Heliar type. The 40mm angle of view, which is between the 50mm standard lens and the 35mm wide-angle lens, is highly versatile as a regular lens.
