The Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX V lens is equally at home on cine or stills equipment, having both a Follow Focus gear and an Autofocus mode. The two modes are swapped by simply moving the focus ring forwards or backwards on the lens barrel. Aspherical lenses and super-low dispersion glasses are used for correction of both spherical and chromatic aberrations and distortions. The two SD (Super Low Dispersion) elements use FK03 type glass which is similar to Fluorite glass, for the best possible minimisation of chromatic aberration. It is also a versatile lens with a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture ideal for low light and control over depth of field, as well as having a close focus of just 0.3m.
