Nikon D810 MPB REVIEW

Review: Nikon D810 Full-frame DSLR

Published 20 January 2021 by MPB

Can you believe it’s been half a decade already? The Nikon D810 now holds the distinction of being one of those cameras so legendary that it still holds up to scrutiny today. This full-frame DSLR has the ability to amaze us, just as it did on its release in 2016.

With its 36-megapixel sensor, the Nikon D810 was one of the first cameras to remove the anti-alias filter. This allowed it to make the most of those pixels, yielding even greater detail from its full-frame sensor.

And what a sensor! Even in high resolution, the Nikon D810 yields surprisingly organic images. That’s why this camera is equally at home shooting nature and wildlife photography as it is shooting portraits.

If you’re looking for a camera in a robust package—that won’t break the bank—but will still give you stunning images, the Nikon D810 should be high up on your list. In the age of mirrorless cameras, this DSLR is still highly regarded here at MPB. Five stars.
