Photographers plant more than 20,000 trees in November with MPB

In November, MPB partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees every time someone used the MPB platform to buy, sell to us or trade in their camera gear.
We’re thrilled to announce that MPB customers helped us to plant 20,076 trees! As a global platform, MPB is proud to support reforestation projects in several regions around the world—and we’re delighted so many of you helped make this possible.

In North America, you’ve planted trees in the National Forests where the United States Forest Service needs them the most. In Europe—Iceland, Romania, Spain and Scotland—your trees will re-establish woodlands, improve water and soil quality and reforest in areas destroyed by forest fire and other natural disasters. Meanwhile, in the Amazon Rainforest, you’re helping to protect the Amazon's biodiverse forests and restore degraded land.
One Tree Planted partners with local communities and experts to create projects with a positive impact for nature, people and wildlife. Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink and provide habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage. As part of the circular economy, sustainability is at the core of everything MPB does. We’re proud to have helped deepen the positive impact you make when you choose to buy, sell and trade in used kit—and you can feel proud of yourself too!

Watch this space—we’ll provide you with updates and photos from these planting projects in the months to come. Subscribe to MPB below or follow us on social media to get updates on the trees you’ve helped to plant.
