Model Overview

The Leica M5 Black '50 Jahre' (50th Anniversary Edition) is a limited-edition rangefinder camera released by Leica in 1975 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Leica M-series. Only 1,750 units were produced, 750 in black and 1,000 in silver.  In terms of functionality, the camera has a number of improvements over the standard M5. The most significant improvement is the addition of a through-the-lens (TTL) metering system.
