Nikkor 800mm f/5.6 ED IF (AIS) super telephoto lens capture subjects at great distances with sharp definition throughout the entire focal plane. The internal focusing lens is optimised for sports, wildlife, difficult to approach subjects and many more photographic applications. The lens has internal modifications to allow AIS lenses to have a faster and more precise shutter priority and programmed exposures by way of linear aperture movement (i.e. an equal mount of movement anywhere along the linkage results in the same amount of diaphragm action). Incorporating Extra-low dispersion glass elements to hold the secondary spectrum to a minimum and to prevent deterioration in picture quality from chromatic aberration to deliver razor sharp photos. Its 360° rotatable L-shape tripod socket collar enables a secure secure tripod mount and easy revolving mechanism for quick orientation change.
