Model Overview

The Samyang 16mm is a rectilinear lens, offering superb image quality and low distortion. It is perfectly suited to cropped sensor cameras for landscape and general photography requiring a high quality wide angle lens. The large f/2 aperture allows for low light photography. Optical construction is 13 elements in 11 groups, with 2 aspherical lenses, 1 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) element and one hybrid aspherical and feature Samyangs UMC Ultra Multi coating coating which ensures superb transmission of light, and Minimizes flare and ghosting. The elements are housed in a solid body weighing from approx 570g, dependant on mount.
