Model Overview

The Walimex 12mm F2.8 Fisheye is a lens with a fast maximum aperture. The lens can be precisely controlled when shooting under testing exposure conditions, such as low-light or ultra-bright situations. This lens features 12 lens elements in 8 groups, with 2 glass aspherical (ASP), and 3 extra low dispersion (ED) elements to produce high resolution and contrast. Samyang's Nano Coating System (NCS) optimises light transmission and Minimizes flare and ghosting. With this optical construction, it has a minimum focus distance of just 20cm and Stereoscopic-Projection optical design delivers a pleasing fisheye distortion effect. There are 7 aperture blades, designed to be almost fully circular when aperture is closed, producing beautiful bokeh. The body of the lens is compact and solid, being made of high-strength Aluminum alloy and the detachable petal-shaped lens hood Minimizes flare and ghosting by sheltering lens from stray light
